Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Qualified Toolmaker or 4 Years Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years progressive engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & MS Project) Minitab will be an advantage
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Specific qualifications required per functional area:
Chrome Plating:
Qualifications shall include a minimum of 5 years’ experience in plating and surface finishing or a combination of formal chemistry/chemical engineering education and plating experience totaling a minimum of 5 years.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Prepares operational process and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and assists with maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Cost estimating for new products / drive ongoing cost reduction effort
Liaises with suppliers to ensure proper standards are met when ordering equipment
Development of process flows and PFMEA’s
Develop improvements to existing production process
Machine Responsible EMSEC
