As part of the Manufacturing Planning Engineering team the role of a team a Project Engineer is provide production with technical support to resolve production problems that could prevent the achievement of quality targets and production volumes.

Minimum requirements:
• National Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics /Electrical / Electronic Engineering or relevant engineering qualification
• 3 year’s relevant experience in automotive production processes and facilities
Essential
• In-depth knowledge of line automation
• Should have a strong aptitude for system and process design
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics / electronics architecture
• Must be flexible, self-driven and be a team player

Duties
• Taking responsibility for all assigned project planning activities during a project introduction on a selected production line with the focus to achieve quality, cost and scheduled targets.
• Managing technical data and facilities.
• Project management of new product and facility introductions including critical path analysis and timing controls.
• Planning the introduction of new models and model facility changes in Assembly.
• Developing innovative improvements to the existing systems within Assembly.
• Supervising installations of equipment and machinery (mechanical and electrical) and ensure that all production and quality requirements are met.
• Frequently liaising with external suppliers and internal customers.
• Using software computer tools and systems to do layouts, track projects, presentations, SPC analysis, FMEA’s etc.
