Sovereign Foods is seeking to employ a Thinning Supervisor for its Agri Services department in the Agriculture division. The incumbent of this position will achieve the set parameters of dead on arrivals (DOA) and downtime to the factory through adhering to the daily production program. This position holds the TASK Grade T08 and reports to the Harvesting Manager.
The ideal incumbent should be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent, 1 years proven track record in supervising a team of 10 to 15 people, a code EC1 (code 10) driver’s license and valid PDP with no endorsements.

Results Required
Implement daily production program;
Achieve production targets and ensure that the DOAs are under budget;
Drive abattoir harvesting downtime to zero minutes per month;
Implement and ensure catching of birds as per Thinning standard operating procedures (SOP);
Maintain high standards of bird welfare at all times;
Ensure that the operators clean the machines according to SOPs;
Ensure all vehicles under your control are maintained to the highest standards;
Be hands-on with the team and ensure they are motivated;
Achieve legal, BRC and health and safety standards.
