Underground Trackless Mine Section Manager– Production Gauteng
Must have a Blasting Certificate OR National Certificate Rock Breaking Underground Hard Rock Level 3
B Tech Diploma or BSc Degree in Mining Engineering essential
Mine Managers Certificate of Competency essential
Minimum 5 years practical underground trackless Mining experience within a production environment of which 3 years must be as a Mine Overseer and/or Section Manager
Computer Literacy, Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate
Driver’s Licence
Massive underground knowledge and experience
Responsible to implement Production business plan for section ,execute plan to meet production targets, safely within financial budgeted targets. Resource section to achieve maximum utilization of equipment , labour efficiencies.
Accountable for continuous operational improvement be implementing identified best practice and ensure adherence to mining technical standards
Continuously monitor production information to determine adherence to production targets and to monitor process efficiencies
Control all activities to achieve optimum production throughput, process efficiency, product security and information integrity
Evaluate processes or systems or new developments to identify opportunities , deficiencies to ensure continuous improvement
Interpret production requirements to develop a production plan to ensure the effective utilisation of resources and the attainment of production targets
Responsible for mines operational effectiveness by mining responsibly in accordance to best practice principles
Ensure that all people in section are trained, up skilled
Ensure that set targets are met with business plan
Ensure delivery of projects within agreed timelines, budget, quality
Responsible to respond to risks in area of responsibility
Must be able to work shifts, overtime and be able to do standby, callouts (when required)
