Are you an ambitious and effective UX and UI designer who enjoys problem-solving, thrives within a fast growing tech environment, and can manage complex projects?

Description of the company

Specno is South Africa's leading development agency and is on a mission to become the industry standard for innovation development. We are a collaborative team of talented individuals that deliver UX & UI designs for world-class tech solutions.

We are looking for UX and UI designers with a good mixture of a creative and analytical brain and the desire to make a difference in the tech sector. All of our projects go through the prototyping and planning phase before they move into development. Within the design phase, we have many sub-phases to the process. Typically a system analyst / ux designer will start with the scoping and requirements gathering.

Next we move into research and ideation, where our analysts are actually coming up with a solution and a business model and understanding the market. From here our UX/UI designers will be given the research document, site map, and userflows - and it is then up to them to do low fidelity wireframing, mood boarding, and then prototyping.

Your role is the wow factor - the thing that sells clients/investors/users on the idea. Our internal slogan is that we make dank sh*t. We need you to understand the end-users, the business goals, and how systems flow in order to create a simple, sexy, and intuitive app design.

Because we are an agency we are also typically working on 9 - 12 projects at any one time, and you will be bouncing from several projects per month gaining vast experience in multiple industries. You will also be working in a team and will be expected to help us come up with solutions and processes to help manage the growth of the design division.

We have grown from a team of 2 to a team of 22 in less than two years. We did this by hiring the types of people who do excellent work, 100% of the time, and who aren't satisfied with traditional career growth, those who really want to push themselves and the company far ahead of what is expected. If you want to read more of the values we expect of our people you can do so here: ****@*****.***

Strong communication skills and can confidently explain UX decisions to clients and gather feedback
Degree from institutions like Red & Yellow, or AAA, Stellenbosch, UCT, Vega, CTCA, or relevant industry experience.
