COMPETENCIES ARE REQUIRED IN THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL DOMAINS:

SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Knowledge of database management
Data analysis via T-SQL queries
Creating and maintaining Stored Procedures and Views

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Creating and maintaining ETL Packages
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Dimensional modelling
Creating and maintaining cubes

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) :

Creating and maintaining reports

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or higher

Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) or SQL Server Data Tools (SSDS)
Dashboarding and data visualisation using tools such as, but not limited to, Powerview, Qlikview, PowerBI,
Experience in using the Ralph Kimball methodology for data warehouse design

Exposure to the following:

Team Foundation Server (TFS)
MDM (Master Data Management)
Working with SharePoint 2010 or higher
Agile development environment

SCOPE OF SERVICE

Development, Enhancement, Implementation and Support of the I. Solution using organisation standard development tools;
Quality assurance of the products developed in response to the User Requirement This includes Application Testing to ensure that the application meets the requirement and is of suitable form fit and function;
Provide technical assistance and direction to peers;
Provide training and skills transfer to permanent and contract staff as required;
Designing, running and performance tuning of SQL queries and procedures;
Troubleshooting;
Create complex and integrated ETL packages, cubes and pivot tables, reports and queries with SQL Server 2012;
Use Sharepoint to create and deliver management reports/ dashboards;
Data Warehouse design;
Implementing automated database unit testing
Ability to conduct Peer Reviews
Understand Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
