AA/EE Damage /Accidents Estimator Position - Isando

My client is one of the Leading Car Rental companies in South Africa, based in Isando.  You will be to, as a Damage Accidents Estimator provide a professional service to the Region as damage estimator by managing the damage process and keeping damage costs to a minimum. You will be required to have a strong and resilient personality to manage panelshops and expectations  

The successful candidate must have:

• Matric with minimum E aggregate
• Unendorsed and valid code 8 drivers license
• Previous experience in similar role is mandatory
• AUDATEX & ABUNTEX experience would be an added advantage
• Work experience with DARA
• ACCPAC
• Basic knowledge in panel beating, spray painting and vehicle mechanics

Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:

• Record all damaged vehicles in yard daily
• Record daily sheet on DARA system
• Obtain quotations in line with company policy from appointed panel shop estimators daily
• Allocate work to cheapest panel shop and complete quote
• Ensure that structural work is allocated to manufacturer approved repairers
• Hand over daily sheets and quotation to Accident Controller
• Inspect quality of vehicles against repairs done as per quote ongoingly
• Ensure that approved repaired vehicles are prepared and moved to ready line
• Ensure that poorly repaired vehicles are rejected and returned to panel shop for re-repair in line with company policy
• Record poor repair comments on DARA system
• File weekly AUDATEX analysis
• Capture AUDATEX reports on vehicles daily in line with company processes

Skills required:

• The ability to identify damages beyond normal wear and tear
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers
• Must be at ease dealing with all levels of people within panel shops hierarchy
• Must have basic computer and typing skills
