Account Manager - Johannesburg

Solutions sales experience( IT/telecoms)  into the banking sector is a key requirement for this role


Knowledge and skills

Fluent in English;

-       Strong negotiation skills;

-       Preciseness and rigour to provide forecast;

-       Rigour in commercial proposal building;

-       Business/result orientated;

-       Good oral and written communication skills;

-       Interpersonal skills;

-       Knowledge of banking market segment;

-       Knowledge of local smart card industry including competitions.

Education, qualifications, and special training

-       Business or engineering school diploma or post graduate degree

Experience-     Minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in IT/Banking segments

Main activities/tasks

Promote, represent and engage Company position towards dedicated channel and customers;

-       Prospect and entry into new partners and customers for active participation in tenders;

-       Liaise and coordinate internal resources (Customer Representative, Solutions, Finance, Product Marketing) to match partner and customer expectations;

-       Increase market share, revenue and margin in line with quarterly and yearly objectives;

-       Provide an accurate forecast to management;

-       Activity and market reporting;

-       Prepare activity reports on a regular basis (weekly reports, monthly and quarterly reviews);

-       Communicate on market forecast and any relevant information related to customers satisfaction and competition activity (completion of CRM database and customer visit report)

-       Regular report about market needs and recommendations on products definition.
