Accountant – Cape Town CBD, Inner Cape Town City

Well established company is looking for an Accountant who will report directly to a Senior Executive member.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric, with BCom degree OR Equivalent
Must have 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
IFRS knowledge will be advantageous
Experience in preparing inputs to support the income tax computation
Must have experience in preparing budgets
Caseware experience will be advantageous
High MS Excel skill level

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of inputs to monthly stakeholder reporting packs
Provide assistance with tax administration
Financial accounting responsibilities, which includes but not limited to; booking journals, month ends, reconciliations, stakeholder and management reporting and budgeting
Responsible for the corporate office general ledger accounts as well as group level subsidiaries
Preparation of payments
Cash Management
Maintain corporate office balance sheet and income statement
Preparation of the corporate office budgeting process
Stakeholder management
Ad hoc projects and tasks as and when required
