ACCOUNTANT (EE)

Our client is a well-established organisation who has driven successful initiatives over many years. We are currently recruiting for an experienced, and qualified Accountant.

REQUIREMENTS:
A relevant tertiary accounting qualification is essential
Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience as an Accountant
Knowledge and experience on Pastel is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review of monthly accounting records
Review of reconciliations – cash book, call accounts
Maintenance of intercompany loan account
Monthly reconciliation of call accounts to projects
Approving all journal entries
Review of expenditure allocations between projects
Approval of payroll
Maintaining fixed asset register
Safeguarding of fixed assets including policies
Preparation of expenditure reports
Supervision of quarterly audits
Reconciliation of key expenditure
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Supervision of bookkeepers
Review and sign off petty cash
Signing off certain expenditure
Weekly review of debtors
Weekly reports to Finance Lead
