A qualified Accountant (completed Degree) is required for a manufacturing concern in the Pinetown area, reporting to the Financial Manager. Must have minimum 3yrs industry experience including working within a FMCG/manufacturing environment. NON & PART DEGREED applicants need not apply. No potential to grow into CA role.

Salary offered: R25k basic plus Medical Aid & Pension.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
? Monthly financial reporting to Financial Manager;
? Variance analysis and trends analysis on major expenses;
? Preparation of monthly financial packs for board meetings;
? Preparation of general ledger recons and process related journal entries;
? Review general ledger recons;
? Preparation of monthly expense schedules and tax schedules;
? Sales and Cost of sales verifications;
? Sales analysis;
? Cost of sales analysis for EC & KZN branches;
? Stock take summary;
? Review and authorize cash book payments;
? Maintenance of company fixed asset register & tax registers;
? Preparation on annual yearend audit file;
? Monthly VAT submissions and reconciliations;
? Ensure company financial procedures are adhered to;
? Ensure income tax, VAT and other statutory requirements are followed;
? Provide a backup to the financial manager when they are absent.

REQUIREMENTS
? Completed degree (i.e. BCom) with accounting subjects;
? Minimum 3 years work experience of which 1 to 2 years should be in a manufacturing environment;
? SAP experience will be beneficial;
? Computer literate, specifically Excel;
? Confident and independent person who is a fast learner;
? Being a team player;
? Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision;
? Strong attention to detail & numerical ability;
? Able to work flexible working hours (overtime when/if needed);
? Able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
