JOB PURPOSE
The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• B.Com Accounting degree
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role with solid understanding of VAT
• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• Analytical aptitude with a flair for numbers and attention to detail
• Ability to Work under pressure
• MS Office experience (advances Excel proficiency required)
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• A practical test will form part of the interview process.

DUTIES:
• System Administration on Accpac / SAP Business One
• Review and processing of financial transactions
• Preparation of month end journals
• Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items
• Reconciliation of designated Income Statement items
• Maintenance and follow up on all Statutory Enquiries with SARS and related parties.
• Proactive management the accounting process, ensuring that all transactions are reflecting correctly on the accounting system and is allocated in accordance with IFRS
• Consolidation of Group Trail Balances.
• Financial reports - monthly and annual
• General admin duties as and when required
• Ensuring compliance with systems rules and processes
• Ensuring that tasks are completed within the required deadlines set out
• Ensure that all users are assisted with the Accpac / SAP Business One system.(user set up, training and assistance when required)
