Purpose of the Job:

The primary purpose of this position is to plan and achieve specified sales objectives (Budget volume, value and net profit sales) via effective account management and development of new business. In addition, the Accounts Executive will be responsible for maintaining and growing revenue in existing accounts. Key to this role will be to ensure growth and profitability and being an integral part in our building of the business.

Main Functions:

• Budgets - Preparation and achievement of Area Sales Budget.
• Planning - Account development plans and achievement thereof including new business prospecting & development
• Implementation - Effective execution of all approved channel and brand plans & long/short term sales & strategies for growing regional market share.
• Financial - Maintenance and achievement of profitability and pricing structures.
• Review - Monthly reporting for personal accounts measuring expenditure and achievement of action.
• Control - Implementation of effective controls by account i.e. BTL spend vs volume /value sales.
• Sales and Marketing - Feedback of market intelligence data and ideas to marketing and channel management.
• Develop long term strategic partnerships with key customers, thereby enabling sales growth in these areas.
• Perform extensive customer needs analysis and site surveys, meeting with decision makers.
• Understanding their goals, completing an account profile for each account and identifying challenges within the account.
• Compliance to ISO 9001/14001 quality/ environmental management systems & corporate.
• Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) management system.

Requirements:

• The highest level of education desired in this position is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• At least five years sales experience.
• Experience should ideally be in the FMCG environment and knowledge of the Paint Market would be a distinct advantage.
• In addition the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of MS Office Packages and apply business acumen by being totally business orientated.
• Candidates who lack formal qualifications, but have the necessary experience, skills and knowledge in the required competencies may also be considered.
