Manage and lead the workflow of the Group Business Actuarial team, including but not limited to, product development, quotations, rate reviews, experience investigations and reporting functions of the Group Benefits division.

• Delivering pricing for all products (credit life, funeral etc)
• Input into product design
• Oversee the group scheme quotation process and ensure that policy contracts meet operational and legal requirements
• Conduct experience investigations and review pricing assumptions
• Provide technical support to internal parties and investigations viability of new ventures and provide ongoing actuarial support to business development initiatives
• Provide movement data and other statistics for reporting purposes
• Ensure quarterly reporting requirements are met including published, statutory and management reporting such as calculations relating to SAM, ORSA, VNB, EV, etc
• Identify training needs for team members and ensure team members receive appropriate training interventions
• Assist the Head of Actuarial and Risk and the Executive Team as and when required

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• An actuarial degree with at least 4 actuarial exams
• At least three years’ work experience in a group benefits or similar environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel and Word)
• VBA programming
• Well-developed communication (written & verbal) skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong PC skills (especially Excel) are essential
• Knowledge of MS Access and IFRS 17 will be an advantage
