A well established food testing laboratory is seeking a administrator/receptionist.

We require applicants with a diploma in administration or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years experience.The position of administrative assistant consists of being responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Summary of duties and responsibilities include:

• Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages;
• Attend meetings to record minutes;
• Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by MD, OPS and Financial Managers;
• File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports;
• Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals;
• Make travel arrangements for MD and Managers;
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email;
• Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing quotations for
clients;
• From time to time prepare new client aps reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database;
• Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
• Assist Finance Manager with administrative tasks.

Education
• Administrative diploma.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills
• Excellent email etiquette.
• Administrative experience a pre-requisite.
