A well-known and established logistics company is seeking an experienced airfreight controller to join their team. You will be arranging, tracking and monitoring all clients airfreight according to their requirements and liaising with the clients regarding the status of their shipments.
Responsibilities:
• Forwarding of airfreight imports and all relevant rates and quires pertaining to Air.
• Liaising with airlines, agents and DSV origin station with regards to pickups ,consols, routings flights, delays, accounts and shipping terms understanding of all incoterms.
• Arrange deliveries of all customs cleared cargo and domestic movements.
• Understand all charges relating to a shipment and understand buy and sell rates.
• Arranging, tracking and monitoring via airline web site.
Requirements:
• Matric certificate.
• Minimum of 6 years experience working in a similar role within a Freight Forwarding environment.
• Minimum of 1 year experience dealing directly with company clients.
• Experience in working with Airfreight rates, routines and airline utilization.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Incoterms.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours when required.
• Any tertiary education qualifications relating to freight/clearing industry will advantageous.
