Title: Analyst Programmer II / HR Systems Analyst

Synopsis
A leading company seeks to employ Analyst Programmer II to assist in technical development, maintenance and support of the HR Payroll System. This is a permanent position based at the Head Office in Cape Town City Centre.

Minimum Requirements
Technical & Functional
• IT diploma qualification
• Proven development skills in SQL and an object-oriented language
• PeopleSoft and/or Payroll systems experience (Unique/QPac experience preferred)
• Business knowledge/exposure in a payroll or remuneration/finance environment would be advantageous

Behavioural
• Strong programming experience
• Good analytical and problem solving abilities
• Good written/verbal communication skills and effective listening
• Drive quality delivery and display a passion for brand and customer
• The ability to take responsibility for resolving critical issues and highlighting potential risks pro-actively
• Must be able to work in a pressurised environment and be available to work extended hours when required

Responsibilities
• Interpret basic user requirements and translate into systems design
• Produce efficient and reliable code, and undertake unit and integration testing
• Comply with methodology, QA and change management procedures
• Analyse and resolve bug fixes and user queries on existing systems
• Maintain and support PeopleSoft HRMS modules and unique payroll
• Ensure systems documentation is kept up to date
• Plan, organise and control own work effort, including regular progress feedback to own and other relevant teams
