PBT Group has an opportunity for an Analytics Manager who primarily will be responsible for driving the implementation of advanced customer analytical practices that are required to enable the client to be the market leaders in value propositions, GTM markets strategies, and end–to-end customer value.

Duties:
- Provide analytical support to the senior manager: customer analytics and business intelligence on an ad hoc basis and on specific projects
- Managing analytical and data queries and cascade to direct reports
- Establishing and managing proper processes and administrative requirements for the analytics department.
- Supervise all staff reporting to this role.
- Provide high level technical assistance to staff reporting to this role
- To ensure productivity is met by all staff in the customer analytics department.
- To facilitate and implement innovative approaches for building complex analytical models
- Communicate complex analytical models effectively to stakeholders

1. Analytics
- Developing end-to-end analytical solutions for stakeholders from various divisions
- Extraction of data from various platforms (i.e. data mining)
- Delivering and managing predictive modelling solutions using Generalised Linear modelling, Time Series Forecasting methods, Price Optimisation and Customer Analytics
- Performance of quality checks at every step of the modelling procedure to ensure robustness of the solution
- Post-modelling documentation and assistance in the implementation models on current systems
- The identification of meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships in data and explanation of these findings to people with varying backgrounds
- The development of business rules to support risk-based analysis and/or risk-based modelling
- Development of Capex planning models
- Development of Customer segmentation models
- Conduct statistical forecasts using various methods

2. Information sharing and reporting
- Report on a regular basis to the head and business unit stakeholders on the performance of the area and any outstanding / material issues.
- Consolidate key and complex information and translate this into meaningful analytical insights for submission to Senior Management.
- Review and provide input to COO and business stakeholders, making recommendations as necessary.
- Conduct ad hoc analytical queries on request
- Keep abreast of technical updates relating to statutory and COO issues and ensure compliance.
- Accuracy to be maintained at all levels.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and think tank sessions with direct reports and broader team
- Educate direct reports on advanced analytics best practices and procedures

3. Customer Relations and Satisfaction
- Understand customer needs and provide analysis accordingly.
- Ensure customer needs and requirements are satisfied through appropriate communication / systems / processes / procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement as an important element of service delivery.

4. Project Management
- Develop and drive the execution of agreed projects.
- Drive the implementation, tracking, monitoring and compliance of projects.
- Contract management in line with Procurement Policies.
- Co-ordinate project reporting.
- Ensure effective implementation of the integrated project management model.
- Risk management.

5. Quality Management and Improvement
- Ensure compliance to rules and procedures for optimal operations and management.
- Input into the establishment of systems and sound practices in order to comply with best practices, legislation or other regulations, guidelines and standards.
- Establish and maintain quality standards that will enhance the customer experience and cost efficiency.
- Understand the quality standards of the job and the reason for these standards and communicate these reasons to others.
- Understand and communicate the consequences of not maintaining quality focus.
- Identify processes and procedures where the quality of work may be improved.
- Seek feedback from clients / stakeholders and continuously seek ways of improving on quality and customer service standards
- Accreditation management of all repair centres.
- Keep abreast / informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
- Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
- Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization.
- Revise / draft policies and procedures.
- Responsible for Training programs, Risk assessments and Communications.
- Respond to internal stakeholders regarding analytical-related matters
- Communicate and educate stakeholders on advanced analytical processes and improvements

Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills
- Good data mining and documentation skills
- Good command over statistical methods and econometrics
- Awareness of the necessity of quality checks and controls
- Ability to delve into detail while maintaining a broader business perspective on issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and internal teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires balancing competing priorities
- The initiative to recommend new, innovative and effective approaches to existing business frameworks and/or solutions
- Data analysis and mining experience using SAS and/or SQL would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of / experience in visualization packages would be an added advantage (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)

- University Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related area
