APPLICATION ENGINEER (PLC Programmer)

Salary: R24 000 – R30 000 ctc
Requirements:
NDip Electrical Engineering
PLC Progrmming experience within Automotive Industry
Siemens S7 experience
Understanding and knowledge of PLC and HMI’s
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Knowledge of analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Using control descriptions, electrical schematics and drawings, creating PLC/HMI code for control of various electro-mechanic systems
Assist field engineers and technicians with start-up and troubleshooting of applied programming
Work with engineering team to develop electrical, instrumentation and controls products and systems to satisfy unique customer specifications, contracts and new business development
Support design and shop building of machines control systems
Submit status reports to management on progress of assigned projects
Develop technical documentation for review and submittal to customers
Participate as necessary in equipment tests, assembly, installation and set-up activities to ensure components and systems are conforming to engineering design standards and customer specifications
Program troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution
Estimate engineering time, material costs and resources required for proposed projects
Providing field support for equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
