Our client based in Johannesburg North are looking for a Skilled Application Support Analyst to add to their team on a permanent basis You will be Responsible for: • Working with relevant client and in house stakeholders to understand, interpret and work with clients on resolution • Working with Development Group, to ensure that any resolution meets the business need and contracts • Work on the product support and development teams to suggest solutions or workarounds for recurring issues • Problem solving and detailed root cause analysis • Responsible for 24/6 2nd line support of the system (After hours support is not significant, but provision needs to be made for it • Competent 3rd line support will be available should you require any assistance • Will be working closely with other resources on site, for other solutions • Rigorous training and detailed documentation will be provided to you prior to being put on site • Participation in providing training to customers as required Experience Requirements: • IT Related Degree • 3 + years’ experience • Programming: • SQL: Maintenance and troubleshooting various database related issues • NET: Console application programming for automating various tasks • Scripting: VBScript, Batch level processing • C# (DotNet 4.0) VB6 (advantageous) • Database: • SQL 2005/2008/2012 • SQL Server Profiler: Troubleshooting SQL and data related issues • SQL Activity Monitor: Troubleshooting performance related issues • SQL Compare: Upgrading and maintenance of databases • Web Services: • IIS7: All aspects of IIS configuration, Web Farm administration and automation of IIS setup and maintenance using the Microsoft • Web.
