Our client a leader in the agricultural sector has a vacancy for an Area Sales Manager to be based in Windhoek, Namibia. The incumbent will take responsibility for the Namibian Agriculture and Professional markets. The position will be based in Windhoek will report directly to the Export Sales Manager.

AREA SALES MANAGER
WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA

Requirements:
- Matric with a diploma in Sales & Marketing Management with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Good product knowledge, international standards and specifications.
- Ability to speak English
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.
- Ability to interface at all levels with internal and external customers
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Inclination to travel and explore opportunities.
- Good leadership qualities, strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with different cultures, religions and propensity to work long hours.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Optimizing market opportunities and ensuring the achievement of sales budgets
- Defining and implementing a sales operating plan, B2B strategy and customer profitability
- Growing the identified market segments in Commercial/ Agriculture Channel through market trend and internal analysis.
- Maintain and manage the requirements of an existing agriculture and professional customer base
- Manage customer relationships, incorporating total solution selling and customer service within the supply chain
- Provide and interpret market information trends
- Participate in the development and implementation of the Sales strategies
- Adherence and compliance to workflow and processes against best practice and divisional standards.
- Interaction with suppliers: Paper suppliers and distribution service providers.
- Interaction with customers regarding service requirements
- Key focus on Working capital: Inventory levels
- Management reporting for areas of responsibility.
