Area Sales Manager - Wholesale FMCG - Port Elizabeth
Salary: R40-50K CTC Depending on experience + quarterly incentive

Area Sales Manager in the Field Sales Department - Tier 2 to be based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The position will report to the National Sales Manager. Applicants must have Wholesale experience, candidates with retail experience will not be suitable. Based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.

Key Responsibilities
A clear understanding and working knowledge of the predetermined formal Accounts Channel, including Retail & Wholesale Channels, in which the following will have to be implemented and executed against a predetermined set of KPI’s:

• Facilitate the planning, organizing and directing of the field sales function within the territory.
• Implement the route to market strategy, so as to ensure effective trade coverage plan for the area.
• Achievement of sales forecasts and growth objectives by monitoring and analyses of sales performance within region and institutes action plans.
• Develop & devise innovative sell out solutions across all customers within territory that enhance the value the customer sees in the company.
• Work with the National Sales Manager, Key Account & Sales Management Team to develop and implement the territory sales & merchandising operational plans and adhoc activities.
• Effective implementation and execution of company IT requirements.
• Ensure sales reports are submitted on time and in full as determined by the company
• Implement field sales strategies to ensure that strategic objectives are met, including: effective execution of all seasonal and brand initiatives.
• Ensure the execution and implementation of all commercial agreements
• Control and monitor all Capex spend in accordance to predetermined budgets.
• Control & monitor all Sales Operational Budgets as prescribed for the business unit & respective territory.
• Administers Sales incentives for the Region within the prescribed budget parameters.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with the trade and also internally.
• Alignment with Company’s Purpose, Values and Principles at all times.

Position Requirements
? Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA.
? B-Comm degree in Marketing.
? 5 - 8 years relevant sales experience at Area Sales Manager level within the FMCG industry.
? 3 years people management experience.
? Excellent computer skills with Advanced Excel skills.
? Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
? Excellent planning and organising skills.
? Own vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
