MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION
To implement the company’s vision and objectives in area of responsibility, through managing a team and providing leadership in achieving maximum profitability and growth.
Co-ordinate and optimize profitability though optimizing market demand with supply chain capabilities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To achieve annual regional sales targets and objectives on volumes, price, margins,
Coach and develop the sales team. Plan monthly trade visits with sales consultants, monitor their work and provide feedback on developmental areas.
Develop area sales plan (The four P’s)
Ensure that we sell the right product to different markets.
Ensure that it is sold at the right price
Explore different distribution channels
Promote products through customer promotions etc.
Contribute to strategic direction by ensuring that strengths and regional weaknesses are identified and implement plan to address weaknesses and optimize strengths.
Margin management through supply optimization, maximising “value based selling”.
Grow market share through volume retention and growing footprint.
Encourage and improve internal relationships through regular interactions with supply chain, debtors and customer services departments.
SG & A management through ensuring that there is compliance in managing costs.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Conducts one-on-one review with all sales consultants to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales Consultant’s sales and activity performance.
Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
Travel extensively including attending industry related functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing related
Min 3 years work experience in sales management.
Experience in the construction industry preferred
Willingness To travel.
Possess unendorsed driver’s license.
