Assists with the machine building production processes in the factory in accordance with the production plans and ensures the machine building process meets the required company quality standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Production:
• Liaises with the Project Manager / Team leader / Machine Builder to clarify technical details and specifications of production.
• Ensures that approved parts are available before production commences.
• Build sub-assemblies/parts of machines according to specifications under the supervision of the Project Team leader / Machine Builder.
• Ensures that waste of the production processes are minimised and production is done in a cost effective way.
• Assists with fault finding and technical testing of machines.
• Assists in the crating process of machines to prevent damages during transportation.
• Assists with maintenance on machines.
• Ensures that the working areas are cleaned and kept orderly.
• Assist with testing of machines.
• Assists artisans as and when required

Quality control:
Performs tasks according to approved company standards.

Administration:
• Gives weekly feedback of the work-in-progress in production.
• Keeps record of job hours on a daily basis.

• Quality control analysis – conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Problem sensitivity – ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum qualification: Grade 10
• Minimum experience: At least one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
