Assembler – Engineering Industry

Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
• Grade 10
• Good manual skills and co-ordination.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to count accurately.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Own transport
• Non- EE Position

Main Responsibilities:
• Fitment of hubs and drums - Draw materials from stores as per requirements of W/O. Check info and qty’s of W/O. Fit hubs, drums and discs as per W/O specification, to pre-machined axle beams, stubs and spindles against stops. Ensure all bearing preloads are correct, before split pin is fitted. Re-check bearing preload after split pin is fitted, if correct fit grease cap. Move completed assembly to the next workstation.
• Housekeeping - Perform required housekeeping and standard maintenance of machines.
• Cycle counts - Perform cycle counts on each component grouping after the production run has been completed (According to factory cycle count procedure). Assist with stock takes.
• Ad hoc tasks - Perform ad hoc tasks required by management.

Position Type: Contract (3 months) to Permanent
Salary Range: R 45.43 per hour (MEIBC Rate G)
