Assistant Accountant – Rosebank JHB – R10k to R13k

Our client requires an Assistant Accountant with 3 years experience accounting to trial balance to assist accountant with finance related functions, such as, Intercompany accounts, cashbook capturing and reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and petty cash up to a Trial Balance level.

General ledger reconciliations (income statement)
Journals capturing
Full accounting for the small corporate office entities
Accounts Receivable: Monitor and administer Intercompany accounts receivable
Generate Invoices and forward to customer and file hard copies of Invoices
Verify receipts against Invoices
Intercompany confirmations
Accounting to a Trial Balance level
Intercompany invoicing, capturing, confirmations.
Cashbook: Cashbook capturing, reconciliations, allocation of payments
Petty Cash: Process and Verify Petty Cash (month end and ad-hoc checks)
Audit, Controls & Compliance: Assist with the audit process (internal and external)
Finalise the Costing month-end procedures for small corporate office entities
Run month-end procedures for small corporate office entities
Capturing of journals
Management Reporting: Produce Management Accounting reports
Management Accounting: Contribute to the management of costs
Ensure accurate allocation of costs and make corrective changes where necessary
Organise and participate in Cost reviews in conjunction with supervisor

Qualifications and experience
Accounting/ Bookkeeping Certificate or equivalent accounting qualification on NQF 5
3 year work experience
Experienced PowerPoint, Outlook
Delta or other ERP system
Isometrix and Hyperion

Salary is negotiable on experience
