Assistant Accountant
Salary R16 000+ Per Month

Requirements:
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Formal accounting qualification
• Design of procedures and policies to ensure effective accounting and revenue protection
• Compilation and reconciliation of balance sheets
• Hospitality experience an advantage
• Completed articles an advantage
• Experience of supporting operational departments in managing their budget
• Experience with project accounting
• Strong IT literacy, particularly MS Excel

Responsibilities:
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Processing of supplier invoices and supplier statement reconciliations
• Preparation and loading of payments
• Assistance with stock takes, and preparation of stock sheets
• Responsible for wine orders, export documentation, wine invoices
• Reconciling and upkeep of Balance sheet
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
• Intercompany transactions and loan reconciliations
• Sales figure preparation for management if needed
• VAT processing and completion of return
• Full petty cash responsibility
• Posting of debtor invoices and statements for farm and winery, Hotel as needed
• Accurate capturing of deposits and receipts into account
• Assistance with securing the integrity of the general ledger and accounting records of the Hotel, Farm and Winery
