Assistant Brand Manager - Durban

Our Client is a leading international Consumer Goods conglomerate known for their incredible brands and excellent culture. They are currently looking to have an Assistant Brand Manager join their global team. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Brand Development manager in delivery of innovation and renovation projects to the agreed milestones/timelines and to the high quality standards set.
We are looking for a candidate who satisfies the following Minimum Requirements/Criteria:

Degree/Diploma preferably in Marketing or Brand Development or similar (essential)Minimum of 1 to 3 years of marketing and/or branding experience in a consumer products (FMCG) business (essential)Business process understanding is crucial (market data analysis and management, project management)Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken)Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Developing an in-depth understanding and become an expert in regional markets – the business environment in which the brands compete including category segments and channelsBuilding a holistic understanding of consumers and shoppers.Assisting in the development of consumer insights and the development of global innovation (including packaging) and communication programmesManaging small innovation projects or clearly defined sections of a bigger project -coached/supervised by the brand development manager 
  Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Durban, KZN or Johannesburg, Gauteng.
