My client, a leading Property Investment organization is in search of an Assistant Marketing Manager at their Durban retail centre.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Marketing manager in their overall responsibility of the marketing of the shopping centre and to ensure that all key KPI’s are met or exceeded.

• General Assistant Marketing manager duties
• Good negotiating skills
• Assist with the development of the Strategy development and execution
• Make budget and strategy recommendations to a manager
• Monitor Exhibitors (to conform to required standards)
• Preparation and presentation of reports
• Brief and monitors creative development of artwork
• Attend to all queries and complaints escalated to this level.
• Ensures cooperation, synergy and effective communication between marketing and other departments
• Assists with research projects – formal and informal
• Approval of invoices/creditors to be paid
• Put in place clear work plans and control systems to ensure timely delivery on required standards
• Client and tenant interaction
• Assist with PR and CRM
• Keeps self and team updated on Market and competitor knowledge, customer intelligence.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• Matric
• Degree in related field essential
• Must have a strong marketing background

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles
• Preferably have centre marketing experience (but not essential).
• Understand and have experience in dealing with related fields – advertising, PR, online, social media, media in general
• Retail experience preferential
