Our client, a leading exporter of Citrus and Table Grapes, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager for their farm based in Piketberg. This position will report to the Production Manager and is available immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production
Irrigation scheduling
Application of fertilizer
Pest and plague control
Weed control
Planting of citrus and vineyards
Pruning
Personnel and administration
Labor planning
Recordkeeping
Financial
Cost control by focusing on productivity

Minimum Requirements:

A tertiary qualification in Agriculture
1 -3 years’ experience in the cultivation of Table Grapes and/or Citrus
Experience in the handling of teams of general workers
Knowledge of Table Grape and/or Citrus Production Practices such as Pest Control, Pruning, Harvest and Packing
Computer literate – MS Outlook and Internet
The following will be beneficial:
A Code 10 drivers licence
Experience in the Preparation, Harvest and Packing of Table Grapes and Citrus
Knowledge of Maintenance (Irrigation Systems)

Salary on Offer: TCTC +- R 144 000 P/A with Accommodation on the farm
