Our client, a reputable producer and exporter of citrus and table grapes, is currently seeking 2 Assistant Production Managers to join their team based on one of their farms in Porterville.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Irrigation scheduling
• Application of fertiliser
• Pest and plague control
• Weed control
• Planting of citrus and vineyards
• Pruning
• Labour planning
• Recordkeeping
• Cost control by focusing on productivity

Minimum Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a relevant qualification
• Recently graduated to up to five years’ experience in the cultivation of table grapes and/or citrus
• Computer literate – MS Word, Excel and Internet
• A valid driver’s license (Essential)
• The following would be highly advantageous:
• Knowledge of table grape and/or citrus production practices such as pest control, pruning, harvest and packing
• Experience in the handling of teams of workers
• Experience in the preparation, harvest and packing of table grapes and citrus
• Knowledge of maintenance (irrigation systems)
• A code 10 drivers licence
