Trade test in Auto Electrician

Service, identify and repair faults on electronic machines such as electronic machines such as in TMM

Install electrical components and equipment such as gauges, lights alternators, starter motors and wiring looms.

Test the repaired parts/vehicle for safety, using special tools in order to ensure the proper operation and effectiveness of maintenance activities.

Install electrical operated accessories such as radios, strobes, cameras and convectors.

Use of meters, diagnostic instruments, laptops and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults.

Testing and replacing od faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, magneto's and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries.

Use hand tools, specialized electrical tools and instruments and machines, including drills, grinders, presses and lathes.

Solder or weld when repairing electrical parts, sell and install electrical parts and accessories.

The Auto Electrician will and shall comply with the Mine Health and Safety act and adhere to the Mine Health and Safety Procedures and Policies. The Auto Electrician will and shall also ensure that he has the correct PPE on when commencing any work.
