AUTOMOTIVE PROCESS ENGINEER (PAINT & PAINTING TECHNOLOGY), ROSSLYN PRETORIA, R60 00 CTC

o Relevant Degree, T4 or equivalent qualification in paint technology, chemical, mechanical,
engineering, production management
o ISO 9002, VDA 6.1, QS9000 experience and SPC and Process capability trainings, experience in paints and painting technology in automotive field and testing procedures and methods

Key Functions:
o Ensure all work processes are documented according to the requirements of the QMS.
o Develop Control Plans for all critical processes and products or product lines.
o Conduct process audits on plant and products to verify conformance to specification.
o Develop and improve processes for the manufacturing of new products.
o Verify the effectiveness of processes and production departments’ adherence to processes.
o Maintain statistical data on processes plants, materials and products.
o Determine, verify, monitor and report on all material usage.
o Determine materials costs per unit for costing purposes.
o Determine and Document “Bills Of Material” for all products.
o Provide detailed process & work instruction to production departments for all processes and
parts.
o Develop and implement process aids for production departments.
o Review all processes and materials continuously for improvement in quality and cost.
o Monitor and set targets to eliminate waste of materials, energy and lead time.
o Investigate customer quality complaints and determine corrective action with prod. Dept.
o Provide timing plans for all process, material and product engineering changes.
o Implement engineering changes to production areas.
o Prepare and verify all products and documentation for ISIR, PSR or ‘O” Series submissions.
o Conduct Capability Studies on Processes
o Co-ordinate all ISIR, “O” Series, PSR submissions
o Participate and contribute in FMEA workshops.
o Supervise and manage key performance measures of Process Technicians
