AX Consultant – Bryanston
 
We have a great opportunity for a candidate with Microsoft Dynamics AX experience and 3 years experience in supporting or configuring application software, preferably a financial system.
 
Duties

• Hold workshops with clients to understand, document and negotiate deliverables on systems solutions.
• Support, diagnose and maintain systems we have implemented and are contracted to support
• Support the associated software required to operate the systems, including Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server
• Systems - Financial and CRM systems - Microsoft Dynamics AX and Pastel Evolution
• Take systems live
• Solution Designs
• Technical Designs
• Make minor modifications on the system (reports etc)
• Training documentation
• Install and configure systems
• Document and provide training on the systems
• Identify opportunities in the marketplace and communication them back to the sales representative
• Assist In preparing commercial and technical documents for quotes and tenders
• Work on projects with the engagement manager and team to produce
• Conduct training
• Handhold while taking system live
• Attend support meetings with the customer support manager to provide input and guidance
• Document customer environments
• Work alone to evaluate, isolate and solve problems at the customer
• Produce ad hoc reports for the customer

 
Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent IT qualification
• Experience in configuration of financial applications highly recommended
• At least three years’ experience in supporting or configuring application software, preferably a financial system
• Knowledge of appropriate computer software, including Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS-Project
• An understanding of financial transactions will be a big advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft development languages and database administration is an advantage.
• Have sufficient knowledge of the underlying systems (network, hardware, software, database and applications) to have competent discussions with associated suppliers so as to understand, define and implement interfaces between systems.
• Knowledge or report writing and reporting software

 
Salary is negotiable on experience.
