One of Cape town’s finest hotels seeks a BANQUETING MANAGER. Work for a renowned hotel.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the F & B Manager, the successful incumbent is responsible to provide guidance to the banqueting personnel. Ensuring a successful, smooth running and effective operation whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Hotel in accordance with Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environment:
• Training and development
• Time Management
• Payroll Procedure & Financial Management
• Industrial Relations & Performance Management
• Operational Performance and Planning
Education, experience :
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years management experience in a similar position within F&B , in a 5 star environment
• Proficient in MS Office packages
REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Preference will be given to South African citizens
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
• Effective communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict management skills
• Good administration skills – payroll input, staff rostering, inventory control, ordering, training
• Effective planning, assigning and delegations of tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work within a pressurized environment
• Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self driven
• Experience in IR management and disciplinary processes
• Ability to work without supervision and within a team
• Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
