Our reputation has won us another large project and we now need to expand our BI team with an experienced BI Analyst.
 
The Challenges Ahead
Designing and developing BI solutions such as dashboards, reports, and ad hoc data access solutions. This entails the following:

• Produce necessary requirements, design, development, and testing documentation.
• Interpret information requirements correctly in order to create data models with emphasis on business intelligence
• Create BI dashboards and reports using OBIEE for external client consumption
• Performing problem assessment, resolution and documentation in existing ETL packages, mapping and workflows
• Build, manage and maintain data integration processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) as ETL tool
• Debug and report issues by analysing the data sources to provide quick resolution
• Executing unit tests and validating expected results

 
What will it take?
Skills and Experience

•  Degree/Diploma in Statistics, Finance or Mathematics
• Minimum 3 years' experience in performing requirements analysis, data integration, data modelling, report design, and BI development – preferably in the financial services industry.
• Translation of  business requirements into clearly defined reports
• Experience with ETL development
• Basic to intermediate database skills (preferably Oracle)
• Basic to intermediate SQL, PL/SQL skills (the person will have to be able to write and execute queries)
• Excellent data analysis and manipulation skills
• Understanding of data warehouse design principles.
• Understanding of data quality issues and data cleansing processes
• OLAP experience will be beneficial
