Business Intelligence Developer
Insurance company in Johannesburg North is in need of a BI Developer with experience in SQL, SSIS, SSRS and OLAP. This will be a permanent post with a market related salary.
The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, development and enhancement of BI solutions. The focus will be on learning, knowledge sharing, collaboration, teamwork and growth. Both internal and external training opportunities will be provided. The candidate will be exposed to all major Microsoft technologies, different engagement models such as project-based development, placements, outsourced teams and support and enhancement engagements.
The candidate will be expected to travel to the customer’s site as per business requirements and should therefore focus on customer relations.
Requirements:
SQL Server and integration services
SQL Server analysis and reporting services
Be able to solve problems
Good communication skill, both verbal and written
Grade 12 Senior Certificate
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent Diploma
In-depth understanding and knowledge in writing SQL statements, SSIS (2 years minimum experience), SSAS, MDX, Reporting Services
Building and maintaining OLAP cubes in analysis services (2 years minimum experience)
Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, triggers, cursors and general scripting, SharePoint, Performance Point and Power Point, Microsoft Office Package
Be an intermediate / senior BI Developer.
The candidate must have experience in complex reports, master reports and cube reporting
3 – 5 years of experience in database design and the normalization of data structures, development of a star schema and facilitation of a team effort is a must.
2 – 4 years of experience in database administration.
Project management experience will be to the candidate’s advantage
The candidate must be able to give accurate technical estimates, work with a team, interact well with management and colleagues and adapt to changing demands and conditions.
