An International Mining company seeks a BI Lead to take responsibility for the strategic Business Intelligence solution.
Responsibilities include:- Work with Business Leaders to establish a roadmap for a Group BI solution
- Understand the pilot implementation at the mine and its suitability as a basis for the Group solution
- Gather business requirements for reporting, dashboards
- Develop the requirements into detailed packages (sprints) of work
- Deliver, unit test and deploy development and enhancements
- Develop standards or policies for management and development
- Supplier management
- Work with other members of Group IT to develop joint strategies and principles for Business Intelligence
- Managing server infrastructure for applications
Technical & Experience- Graduate level education.
- Preferably a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) in SQL Server 2012 (or above) Business Intelligence.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a SQL Server Solution Expert with extensive experience in:
- Extract Transform and Load (ETL), i.e. SSIS using flat file transfer, OLE, ODBC and Web Service connections,
- Data Warehousing,
- Dashboards and reporting, through SSRS,
- Analytics through SSAS,
- Tabular model, xVelocity and DAX.
- Experience with SQL Server 2012 across all aspects of the BI solution.
- Experience of implementing business intelligence within a Group environment (multiple instances, multiple locations, languages etc.).
- Knowledge of deploying code to multiple instances within the Group using Team Foundation Server or similar code controls.
- Demonstrable business analysis skills preferably supported by a relevant qualification.
- Preferable experience of working and managing in an Agile (Sprints) delivery environment.
- Useful to have project management experience.
- Mining or similar natural resource experience but not essential (preferred)
