My client, a supplier of systems and solutions for the energy services market, is looking for a Boilermaker with knowledge of occupational hazards & safety precautions applicable of the boilermaker trade 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 with a Red Seal Trade Qualification

• 5+ years’ experience in Power Generation or Process Plants

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

Be physically able to perform most tasks
related to the physical tasks related to the position as boilermaker

• Valid code 08 driver's license and own transport & Valid Passport


• Be able to work in elevated structures & be exposed to hazardous environments.


• Analytical skills: solving problems; look at consequences, generate alternatives; decide on the most appropriate course of action and take personal responsibility for the consequences


• Successfully execute tasks


• Able to plan what, how and when something should be done


• Perform consistently when under pressure for extended periods


• Identify, understand, and relate to customer requirements and to meet or exceed their expectations


• Ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities:

• Planning to completion


• Knowledge of materials, tools & procedures used in marking, lay out & assembling various components by bolting or weld tacking


• Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety precautions applicable of the boilermaker trade


• Position, align & secure structural parts & related assemblies


• Ability to read & independently work from sketches & drawings


• Maintain safe work environment


• Understand the works of pressure vessels and the safety test methods of these units


• Have a basic knowledge of rigging 


• Have basic understanding & execute tasks to the prescribed Quality standard
