Our client based in Worcester, based in Worcester is a top-tier agricultural company providing agricultural equipment, winery supplies and agricultural chemicals locally as well as internationally.

ROLE PURPOSE
• The role is to oversee the agribusiness operations at the Worcester branch.
• Operate the business for adequate return on investment to keep it financially sound
• Establish branch as a leading agricultural equipment supplier and service provider in the region.
• Challenge the way things are done to continuously improve.
• Operate in a frank, open and honest business environment.

MAIN TASKS:
• Report directly to the Directors.
• Lead and motivate all branch personnel.
• Maximize sales and profitability for the Equipment, Workshop and Spares departments.
• Identify key grower customers, understand their business, determine their needs and develop plans
and actions to meet needs with appropriate sales solutions.
• Communicate with Directors on initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans
• Manage all financial aspects of operations including performance, profitability, forecasting, cash
flow, budgets and efficiency.
• Ensure operational efficiencies and expenditures against budgets.
• Develop an annual business plan that optimizes growth and profitability for the branch.
• Implement marketing and sales plans, establish and meet sales goals, and network with suppliers
and industry representatives to expand market opportunities.
• Establish and manage measurable and challenging goals for sales and branch personnel.
• Responsible for following credit policies and managing risk for the company.
• Regularly tour work areas to observe work being done, to inspect jobs, and ensure customer service.
• Recruiting, training, supervising, appraising and terminating staff.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation.
• Ensure highest level of successful execution of strategic and tactical plans.
• Ensuring the branch presentation is to the highest retail standards.
• Handle asset, merchandising and inventory control.
• Handle all complaints promptly and thoroughly.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
• A background in agriculture and/or related degree.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the agriculture business with demonstrated track record in
sales and marketing or retail branch management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to groups with an ability to lead and influence.
• Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish
relationships with branch personnel, peers and customers.
• Ability to successfully run a branch with an overall perspective, but still manage day-to-day tasks.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service to all customers.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems- Pastel and Microsoft Office.
