Our client a specialist in the Food and Beverage industry seeks a Brand Manager to run a leading childrens beverage brand in three regions and focus on developing it into a market leading brand that consumers turn to for their everyday energy needs. The Brand Manager will continually look for fresh & innovative ways for us to deliver fun goodness to mums & all over our region in a highly engaging way. The Regional Marketing team is responsible for taking the global brand positioning of this brand and turning it an actionable strategy that meet the needs of the local consumer in our region, and deliver consumer-led high brand impact. They are looking for a talented Brand Manager with international brand management experience to join the Regional Marketing team in driving this brand to the next level in markets such as Nigeria, Kenya, and Trinidad.

Minimum requirements:

University Degree Marketing and/or International Business
Strong consumer marketing expertise: Strong track record of developing & implementing consumer led strategies that have delivered exceptional brand impact
5 years of Brand Management experience within the food and beverage industry
Entrepreneurial flare & unconventional mindset: Experience in challenging the status quo and trying new things (within a context of consumer insight & commercial acumen) to achieve strong brand results
Tenacious can do attitude: Experience in making things happen, positively thriving on the opportunity to overcome obstacles
Infectious passion & enthusiasm: A track record of inspiring the team and the business, and bringing key stakeholders on board to strategies & initiatives.
Naturally inquisitive A track record of not settling for the obvious answers but trying to search for more deeply penetrating solutions.
Naturally wanting to understand our consumers and get underneath the “whys” of their attitudes & behaviors.
Strong commercial acumen
Experience working at a regional and/or global leadership level
Experience of managing agencies, managing budgets, and managing cross functional projects
Able to work with diverse group of people, and reach out to people across geographies
Confidence to liaise directly with key stakeholders the MD, Group marketing, lead markets, R&D, Commercial, Local Marketing. Etc
English fluency to write and speak.
Ability to provide strategic thought leadership for the business, the team and other key stakeholders
Ability to engage & influence key stakeholders
Ability to positively manage a change agenda throughout a business
Responsibilities:

Develop the Strategy to help deliver our ambitious business growth goals for the brand within the Business Unit: Take the Global Brand
Positioning and develop implementable consumer led strategies & growth plans for the brand throughout the region that is based off deeply penetrating local consumer insight.
Develop the short, medium & long term strategy for the brand.
Drive the brand strategy in local markets: Inspire, influence and support the local brand teams to fully embrace and activate the brand strategy in the local markets and achieve high brand impact.
Develop brand marketing tools: Develop consumer winning ATL & BTL brand campaigns for local markets
Work closely with local marketing and commercial teams to understand market specificities and support in developing successful long term plans for each country; identify learning’s and best practices across the region.
Be accountable for the brand investment. Within this develop and monitor against key metrics to improve the return on investment of our marketing spend.
