Our client, a leading Chrome Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified BIS Specialist (SAP HCM Payroll) at their facility in Witbank in Mpumalanga.

Description
To establish, maintain, support and drive system continuous improvement for the Business System Solutions within the relevant functional areas:
SAP HCM (Human Capital Management):
SAP HR Payroll (PY)

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Ensure SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the Toolbox
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

CUSTOMERS
Liaise with 3rd party consultants (vendors), End users and Functional Process Owners
Ensure Customer Satisfaction throughout the group (all BU’s)

BUSINESS PROCESSES
General Solutions Architecture:
Establish, maintain and support a standard process solution throughout the Group, taking into consideration the specific requirements and dynamics of each Business Unit in the Group
Identify or clarify Business Unit specific requirements and constraints, governance decisions and policy into systems solutions and design, develop, maintain and continuously improve the solution
Facilitate Business Unit input into each of the Business Solutions processes and cycles through the phases of Design, Implementation, Support and Continuous Improvement
Identify and justify site-specific requirements including: reports, developments, interfaces etc.
Solution changes and testing, such as: PY config changes, Legislation changes, Legal Change Patches, Support Packs, Tax updates, Upgrades, Payroll rules and Schemes, etc.

Governance:
Maintain compliance and governance of the Samancor Chrome Business System frameworks, architecture and solutions, including the review and signoff at key control points: Planning, Business Blueprint, Realisation, Testing, Integration, Support, Training and Go Live
Ensure the compliance with governance of Change Control, Risk Assessment and internal procedures throughout solution delivery
Standardization between the Business units within Samancor Chrome
Business Systems Support:
Provide functional and process related support for all Business Units
Facilitate the effective and maximum reuse and utilisation of Business System functionality
Lead and Facilitate functional user Focus Groups Resolve operational issues and escalate as appropriate

Process:
Manage and Maintain SAP specific data for all Samancor Chrome Business Units with regard to the relevant process or SAP functional module
Handle queries regarding the relevant process and integration to other SAP Modules and external systems where applicable
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with the execution of individual transactions for daily business processes and communicate to other Business Units
Provide relevant architectural, configuration and business process expertise for business solutions across specific process domains based on system constraints and functionality
Continuous improvement
Adhere to all SAP HCM support components as per approved SamancorCr business processes, adhering to governance requirements
Planning, analyzing and defining high-level software strategies through business, functional and technical expertise
Gain acceptance/approval as per change control procedure
Assist in the technical preparation of business process procedures, business blueprints, test scenarios, end-user documentation and user manuals
Lead the execution of assigned project tasks in areas of demonstrated competence
Perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of Business Unit issues
Guide, assist and train users on process functionality

Routine Tasks:
Manage and Maintain SAP specific data for all Samancor Chrome Business Units with regard to the relevant process
Handle queries regarding the relevant process and integration to other SAP Modules and external systems
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with the execution of individual transactions for daily business processes and communicate to other Business Units
SAP Payroll functional support to all Business Units
Perform configuration of SAP payroll schema’s, rules and features
Implement and test SAP Payroll specific changes such as: Legislation changes, Legal Change Patches, Support Packs, Tax updates, Upgrades, Payroll rules and Schemes etc.
Assist in UAT’s
Guide, assist and train users on process functionality
Identify and justify site-specific requirements including: reports, developments, interfaces etc.
SAP HCM knowledge transfer

Reporting:
Establish and maintain Reports as per business requirements:

GROWTH
Identify, drive, implement and communicate improvements to further enhance best practice use of the system at Group and Business Unit level. Agreed common business processes, data integrity and related integration for other solutions
Research and develop new Business System functionality and solutions and continually assesses the usability and value-add for Samancor Chrome

WORKPLACE COMPETENCIES:
Skills:
Operating on a SAP K4 Consulting level
SAP HR & Payroll consulting experience
Experienced in working with the business to understand requirements and to drive improvements in HR Payroll processes implemented, to deliver business benefits
Ability to take ownership of issue investigation and resolution

Knowledge:
Experienced in configuring the Payroll schema and rules and performing configuration of business requirements with:
Proven technical skills in SAP Payroll
Experienced in configuration of all Payroll related WT’s, Benefits, Garnishments, Deductions, Third Party Remittance and Taxes to streamline the payroll calculation process
Extensive experience in integration within SAP modules and external systems
Proven track record of previous related implementations and support
Up to date with the latest SAP HR Solution Trends and Technologies

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant HR National Diploma / Degree
SAP K4 HR & Payroll certified
6 years’ relevant consulting and configuration experience within the SAP PY module

Additional Qualifications:
Consulting experience in Organizational Management (OM), Personnel Administration (PA), Training and Events, Travel Management and Personnel Development (PD)
SAP full cycle Project implementation
HR Business experience
