BUSINESS ANALYST IT RETAIL ACCOUNTING 
The systematic and methodical investigation, analysis and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use. The Identification and examination of business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business problems. The identification and development of new and alternative approaches to performing business activities that are made possible by the availability of information and Communications technology. This includes: understanding the underlying technology and its application, assessment of the costs and potential benefits of the new approaches considered And, where appropriate, change management and assistance with implementation . The role acts as a bridge between the business unit, organisational stakeholders and the solution team.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that business processes in area of responsibility are optimised.
  • Identification and justification of new application solutions and /or changes to existing application.

Function
  • Identify business factors influencing the development of new or alternative business processes
  • Develop appropriate assessment criteria for the selection of new alternatives business processes.
  • Assess the implication of new processes on both people and organisation and identify the activity necessary to ensure a smooth transition to the new processes.
  • Working Closely with clients and IS staff as appropriate ,pro-actively seek out ,analyse ,model ,specify, integrate and implement processes that satisfactorily marry technical constraints and cost considerations with business  objectives and result in safe ,workable and maintainable systems .
  • In Designing solutions ,pay full regard to both internal and external standards and requirements such as audit standards ,data management standards ,safety related standards ,good practise and legislation .
  • Give direction and leadership to project groups.
  • Play a significant part in the definition of strategies to make effective use of ICT in business area and draws on an understanding of state –of –the –art use of techniques relevant to any area of specialism e.g strategic planning, operations research cost benefit analysis.
  • Maintain good knowledge of, advises on and justifies operational, ICT and IS policies and effectiveness of current  business applications .Advise on and justify standards, methods and procedures for general applicability.
  • Guide clients towards accepting viable and valid system solutions, which involve changes to working conditions and practices, showing understanding, imagination and creativity.
  • Write and speak fluently on all aspects of work and communicates effectively with all levels of management
  • Submit options for improving business processes to decision makers at senior management level.

Role Experience:
  • 3- 5 Years experience as Business Analyst Il
  • Has experience of assessing the costs and benefits of potential changes to  business process knowledge of SAP/FI/CO
Prior Knowledge:
  • Is familiar with a range of analysis, modelling and design methods; has broad current knowledge of ICT standards, applications and trends.
  • Can articulate potential changes to business processes in a lucid cogent manner both orally and in writing .
  • Is highly experienced in communicating with clients and facilitating analysis workshops
  • Has a wide and detailed  understanding of all stages of alternative application development life cycles both within and beyond own organisation.
  • Possesses a broad knowledge of business and business functions, and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
  • Can manage all types of business analysis assignment and understands how ICT is used within the industry of specialisation.
