Our client in the Durban area is recruiting for a Business Analyst, to understand, analyse and clearly define and document business/ client requirements into functional specifications for development which will meet the client’s needs

BTech with Programming as a major/ BCom (Information systems)/formal business analysis training & BA experience
· 2 to 3 years working experience in the Information Technology Sector, especially as a Business Analyst.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Project required; knowledge of MS AccessKnowledge of Databases such as MS SQL would be an advantageBasic Programming knowledge, in ASP Dot Net, C# or Java would be an advantage

· Expertise in gathering business requirements and using tools to document requirements

· Broad knowledge and experience of various business analysis methodologies and process modelling.

· Basic knowledge of technology and methods of programming.· Industry expertise· Understanding of business processes· Knowledge of full SDLC processes

To Liaise with business process owners, subject matter owners and business champions to obtain clear system requirements, business rules, document the “to be” business process ensure that detailed system requirements are gathered , documented and sign-off by the Business process owner. · To act as a conduit between the project team and the client, any requirement issues will be clarified by the BA. · To create functional specifications in accordance to the agreed upon standards and business rules · To define the functional specification and design based on the business requirements by using the best business analysis technique (this includes but is not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, questionnaires, etc.).· To communicate the functional specification back to the client and to ensure all issues/concerns/ risks are addressed and appropriate changes documented and made to the functional specification.· To ensure impacts on the existing modules are documented. · To present final functional specifications and business requirements in a clear and concise manner to the client and obtain signoff.· To hand over Functional Specification to the Software Development team.

· To present and communicate requirements to all stakeholders and project team members, by ensuring consensus and approval for the defined requirements.

· To present the requirements to the development team in a format and structure that is in accordance to company standards. · To control and manage user requirement changes during development process according to the agreed client requirements.· To ensure that the business solution meets the clients’ objectives, and is thoroughly tested and implemented smoothly according to the project timelines.· To clearly identify, separate, and communicate testing issues and escalate issues affecting delivery to the Project manager and Functional Manager .· To conduct preparatory testing on software released onsite. · To facilitate testing sessions and documents any issues that may be raised.· To provide feedback on testing issues to the Project Manager and Functional team to get resolution.· To design screens and interfaces, batch engines according to specification requirements · To ensure consistency of screen designs according to quality standards.REGRET NO CHANCERS
