Key Purpose
To fully understand the business’s requirements, and through a structured process and analytical thinking, document, validate and translate these into functional specifications that are used by developers to craft a technical solution. To test and validate the functionality of the technical solution against the business requirements on completion of the development, thus ensuring that the business requirements are delivered in the implemented solution. To assist in translating the businesses vision into the design. To understand the connection of the business model to the systems architecture.
To be the interface between the business client and the development team with regards to the business and functional requirements. To work within multiple business areas and multiple teams that require deep integration of solutions, while taking cognisance of how the defined scope of the business’s requirements might span across departmental boundaries, or where the scope impacts on multiple business areas. To create, build, and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Key Outputs
1. Create Client Requirement Specifications (CRS): Follow a structured process to listen to, understand and document client requirements
2. Document Business Requirements Specifications, Business Processes, etc. using a Unified Modelling Language within the methodologies of either Agile or Waterfall approaches
3. Design and validate the functional solution, and document these in a Product Requirements Specification (PRS)
4. Review the approved CRS and PRS with the development team and validate and verify the solution proposal with the business, hand over to the development team.
5. Create test scenarios, test on completion of development, schedule UAT with business.
6. Maintain project documentation on a Sharepoint, with version control.
7. Ensure all standards and quality of documentation is adhered to, and follow the process of business sign-off at each stage of the life-cycle.
8. Ensure the success of each project and / or enhancement

Qualifications & Experience
• Qualifications: B. Comm Informatics, UML Expert courses, relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum Required Experience - More than 3 years as a BA. Experience in testing. Solid Cross Departmental experience
