Business Analysis services to the Bank.

Background
The BA Competency centre requires from time to time the services of Business Analysts to assist in a number of critical projects within the Bank. The main purpose of these BA’s is to conduct business analysis for the purpose of business optimisation, designing appropriate information and communications technology (ICT) solutions for business, and providing innovative solutions to business problems. The current Business Analysis capacity is insufficient to meet the demands on projects, and should be supported by short term contracts to supplement capacity on key projects.

Objectives
The main purpose of this position is to conduct business analysis on the delivery of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions for business, including but are not limited to:
Assistance with establishment and maturing of the Business Analysis competency centre (BACC);
Assistance with training, couching and development of the Business Analysis capability for the Bank;
Assistance with change management related to establishing and maturing the BACC.

Detailed description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
Assistance with establishment and maturing of the Business Analysis competency centre (BACC)
Assistance in implementation of the BACC strategy and the supporting operational model
Assistance in the development and maintenance of the BA methods, standards and templates
Coordination of the Business Analysis programme portfolio
Assist in Business Analysis programme delivery measurement
Maturity level assessments of the BACC
Assistance with training, couching and development of the Business Analysis capability for the Bank.
Skills and knowledge transfer to internal Business Analysts through training and coaching
Guidance to the BACC with Business Analysis best practice identification and application
Assistance with implementing and managing changes related to implementation of BA methods, standards, templates and tool for the Bank

Job requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
a three-year diploma or degree in ICT or equivalent (e.g., BCom Informatics, BSc Informatics, BTech);
diploma or certification in business analysis (advantage); and
five to seven years’ ICT experience in business analysis.
