We’re a little unusual. Our core purpose is to make people more valuable to the marketplace. Noble words indeed. Does this resonate with your personal purpose, assuming that you have one?
We’ve been doing this since 1995, and we’re getting quite good at it, which is why we need more great people.
Making people more valuable requires a clear sense of purpose, along with an unusual blend of conceptual smarts, genuine people skills, persistence, creativity, and some hard behavioural economics.
You also need to be a good listener, and an effective communicator. Authenticity and integrity are also useful. You must be teachable, with a healthy curiosity.
Oh, and you should to be a team player. No, really. We work in small, self-managed site teams, and it’s hard for your teammates to focus on making people more valuable if you have weird personal space or hygiene issues.
A sense of humour helps a great deal. We take what we do very seriously indeed, but we don’t take ourselves seriously. If you can’t laugh at yourself, click out now.
It’s not for the faint of heart either – even people who know they need to change are grumpy about actually having to do it. They get over this eventually and are mostly extremely grateful that we have persevered with them.
This is not an office job. We work on site with the client, wherever they may be. Some indoors, but lots of outdoors. You’ll be away from your blankie and your budgie during the week. If we get work in another country, you can take your blankie with you, but the budgie will have to stay. On the plus side, you will get to meet all kinds of interesting people, most of them very grateful to have us there to help them. This is great, if you genuinely like people, all people. It sucks if you can tolerate people, but need a ‘job.’ You’ll hate it, trust us.
Does this sound interesting? It’s hard work, we must be honest. Are you good with hard work? We’ll find that out together.
When we succeed – and we try very hard to succeed – then we fundamentally empower the people we work with. They connect better with their business, and are able to make Better Business Decisions. These Better Business Decisions in turn make their business more profitable, which the business stronger and more resilient. This in turn keeps people employed, which pays salaries and groceries and suppliers and utilities and rates and taxes, all of which keeps money pumping into the community. That’s the part that gets us out of bed in the morning.
A last and quite important point – you ain't gonna get rich working with us. We pay well, we look after our people, and you sleep well at night, but none of us do this for the money. We take the money, but it’s not about the money. If you want money, try the parastatals. Better do it soon – that party appears to be winding down.

Don’t worry too much about exactly how we do what we do, or exactly what you’ll be doing. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Education and Experience:
• Completed tertiary qualification, preferably an honours degree, in a field that blends the humanities and sciences. We know, we know. That’s why you need to be special. If you studied something else, and then realised you had made a terrible mistake, we can talk. You still need a tertiary qualification. We need to know that you have a proven record of being disciplined in both thought and action. Well-intentioned but undisciplined doesn’t work for us.
• 1 to 2 years post-graduate work experience. We need people who have realised that school and varsity are not the real world, and have gotten over that.

Working Conditions and Requirements:
• Travelling nationally and internationally. Working away from home.
• Currently based within a 200km radius from Potchefstroom.
• Medically and physically fit.
• Driver’s License and own reliable transport.
