Purpose/Role:

Conduct interpretive and comparative analyses of data from the Group’s various distributed data sources. This analysis will support operations and strategic decision making.

Qualification:
• B SC Computer Science degree, or similar.
• BA or Data Analyst diploma/qualification (advantageous).

Skills & Experience:
• 2 years’ experience
• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivoting and VBA)
• SQL Server (write queries to extract data from DB)
• Qlik View Report Design (Beginner- intermediate)
• FlexiBroker system knowledge (advantageous)
• Short Term Insurance Industry experience (advantageous)
• Accurate and attentive to detail

Duties Include but not limited to:
• Ability to study and thoroughly understand the relationships that exist among the organization's various databases and systems.
• Collect, manipulate and analyze data from various sources, (Operations and Finance).
• Maintain single reporting database repository from various source data locations that can be refreshed to near-real-time.
• Develop and maintain repeatable and customizable analytics processes for reporting on business performance. These must be accurate, detailed, timely and user-friendly reports and dashboards with interpretation and insights
• Test and build reports in QlikView in order to develop analytics and dash boards to provide high level as well as detailed on-demand reporting for senior management and technical staff.
• Protect the organization's data, making sure that the data repositories produce consistent, reusable data.
• Conduct data quality and quantity checks.
• Perform investigative and root cause analysis.
• Review FlexiBroker system process and business processes focusing on efficiency, accuracy, data quality and controls.
• Maintenance of insurance products on FlexiBroker.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications required.
• Work/Communicate with technical staff/System Service Provider to better understand validity and criticality of data and how it impacts operations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues at various levels within the Group.
• Result oriented with proactive approach to resolving problems.
