Capabilities you’ll bring to the Table:
  • Company’s platforms, associated services and solutions
  • On-line Media, Social Media, Email services and Publishing solutions
  • Cloud, payment gateways, Order Management, Warehouse Management solutions
  • Experience in selling professional & consulting services that have supported these new solutions (online media, email services, payments)
  • Ability to understand & define client requirements and communicate high level solution ideas deeply enough to drive early sales meetings single-handedly
  • Ability to articulate client needs in order to provide actionable requirements to other functions of the business
  • High level understanding and the ability to discuss basic components in the the company’s solutions stack i.e. understand why a payment gateway, email service provider, order management, web servers, PCI compliance are core components of a solution.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the company’s platform landscape
Sales Discipline:
  • Enthusiasm for and strong understanding of solution selling
  • Minimum of 5 quota-exceeding years selling professional or consulting services, or related solutions.
  • A track record of seeding and growing new customers is key.
  • An excellent communicator and facilitator who uses his/her listening skills and knowledge of the marketplace to effectively link the capabilities/business outcomes and the issues faced by the client/prospect
  • Ability to sell at CxO level
  • Sophisticated account planning skills and the ability to prioritize opportunities and build effective approach strategies into clients/prospects
  • Process driven approach to qualification, sales cycle management and closing deals
  • Experience personally negotiating complex contract negotiations to desired outcome
  • An aggressive approach, self-directed and driven to succeed
  • Demonstrability of establishing and developing a sales vertical territory
  • Proposal writing and written communications
  • Ability to own and lead the development of solution proposals, partnering with technical contributors throughout the process
  • Ability to write business components of a solution proposal – including an understanding of the client’s business and high level technical requirementsIn this role, you will be held accountable for:
  • Building, implementing and driving new sales
  • Prospecting new business, developing existing leads
  • Acquire new clients and managing, retaining and growing client base
  • Accurately forecast and manage a sales pipeline
  • Leverage your existing relationships and create new relationships to evolve our network of partners and clients in the territory
  • Education/Certifications/Affiliations:
  • Degree educated, or equivalent
 
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel within the territory, although roles are based in both London & Cape Town offices.
