Leading e-Commerce beverage (wine) store requires a passionate Business Development Manager to join their team soonest.

Some duties & responsibilities will include:
• Build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the wine industry
• Source unique products
• Establish & maintain premium product allocations
• Ensure that the Company and brand remains 1st choice with top suppliers and producers across the country
• Driving offline sales and VIP Customer relations
• Play a training role with regards to product knowledge for the rest of the team
• Build successful relationships with leading customers, at top restaurants and 5-star hospitality venues, to improve brand perception and image driving sales opportunities
• Keeping up with trends in the wine industry and ensuring that the service offering is reflective of this.
• Supplier liaison and management, including the negotiation of pricing, promotions and partner initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role in the wine industry
- Relevant tertiary degree, as well as wine industry qualification
- Excellent track record, with great network of contacts in the wine industry - Sales experience is preferred but relevant experience in the hospitality industry as sommelier is also highly beneficial
- Strong business acumen, data driven and numerical skills
- Excellent & effective Interpersonal, negotiation & presentation skills
- Excellent Computer proficiency (Excel & Word)
- Drivers license & own reliable vehicle
- Fully bilingual – English & Afrikaans
